Oh, and two reference pictures of the costume in question...

The breakdown of needs...
1) 5-10 lbs of non-drying clay to create the shapes to cast from. Non-drying clay will be re-useable and therefore conserve some cost.
2) Apprx 20lbs of Plaster of Paris to create the mold negatives. This, unfortunately, is not re-useable. In addition, I will need to buy some wire mesh to support the larger moulds for the torso pieces, but that will come a lot cheaper and require a lot less.
3) Around 5 gallons of liquid latex. This is to create the torso and face prosthetics, as well as body texture on the arms, neck, and face.
4) Over 100 sheets of craft sheet foam for the feathers on the wings.
5) At least 5 4oz. bottles of puff-paint to texture the foam feathers.
6) Wood doweling for the wing support, some upholstery foam for dimension around the dowels. Bolts to create pivot joints, etc.
7) Paint and makeup. Spray paint for the wings, and latex compatible paint for the prosthetics.
8) Glass or acrylic eyes in the appropriate size. I am thinking I can buy acrylic half-domes and create the eyes myself. Finding that size will be a bit challenging in pre-made, I think.
9) Fabric and what-not for the shrouds.
10) A special "corset" to flatten my front and create straighter, more masculine lines on the side.
$500 is my estimate. Depending on where I get some things, it may cost more/less. And its hard to estimate amounts needed for the mold supplies. Bleh, so much work!
